A Mission Area Conference may need to adopt policies:

• to comply with the law
• to comply with the Constitution
• to meet a funder’s requirements
• to model good practice.

A policy is a statement that states what the Mission Area Conference believes and how it acts.  We currently have the following policies in place:

1. Equal Opportunities Policy
   
2. Safeguarding Policy
3. Disciplinary Policy
4. Grievance Policy
5. Privacy Notice

But, will be looking at adopting the following core policies:

• Risk Management
  
• Investment Policy
  
• Conflicting Interests
• Volunteer Management
• Complaints Handling
• Paying Staff
• Reserves Policy
• Financial Controls Policy
